installed in a 72 mustang with a c6 tranny after destroying my old one with a hammer(dont ask) while rebuilding my motor and tranny. seal is good and better then the stock o-ring style that leaks everywhere. had to modify the mounting for my car but nothing hard and it looks good. Driven a few hundred miles now and no leaks so i’m happy with it. cheap with no leaks, my kind of dipstick.

Didn’t use the locking mechanism, but installed fairly easy with transmission already in car and tube doesn’t move at all when I pull the dipstick out.

Great fitment! I installed this on a 74 K20 that I put a 700R4 into, and it fit great couldnt be happier. Furthermore, the locking dipstick itself is on a whole new level! Great product guys

We’re putting this on a 700R4 going into a 70’s Corvette. It had to be bent a little here and there to fit, but worked for this conversion.

Cheep quality.

It fit correctly, bolted onto the correct lug on the back of the block and the dipstick was the same length as the original

Doing an LS swap into a 1980 Camaro, the last thing I expected to be hard to find was a dipstick and dipstick tube for the 4 speed automatic transmission – but it was. The best I could do was this TCI unit. Here’s the problem – the tube isn’t bent right, so it goes into the 4L70E transmission at the wrong angle (see photos). Also, requiring a second bracket to attach to an LS engine is kludgy. TCI or someone else needs to make a dipstick tube that closely follows the shape of the 4L60E bellhousing and that bolts directly to an LS engine. This is a common swap and therefore there’s plenty of demand for it.

I just finished an LS swapOn my 1981 El-Camino with a 4L60E that’s out in my driveway. I am including mockUp pictures of this product installed on another 4L60E that I’m rebuilding. The product looks like a perfect fit to clear my firewall and LS engine. The rubber insert fit snugly into the transmission case, and the steel dipstick tube slid in snugly as well and sits flush. The welded on bracket lines up perfectly with a bolt hole on the bellhousing. The dip stick slides in smoothly and the locking handle seems nice and firm , it locks down snugly with just a 90 degree push of the expansion plug handle. I’m happy with it. Based on just looking at the fit up on this mock up transmission, I’m pretty sure it will easily clear my cylinder heads and intake. I like how it stands tall and firm. I look foward to installing this product tomorrow.
