   The Switch works fine, It was difficult getting the reverse switch to line up correctly so that it would turn on and off. Installation was tricky and mounting hardware is not included. But so far the switch works

   Exactly what it’s supposed to be. I used it to activate my reverse lights and aftermarket backup camera on my Jeep YJ with a B&M shifter.

   I tried to install the B&M 80629 microswitches for neutral safety and backup lamp on the B&M 80688 Quicksilver shifter. However, they don’t function reliably. The switches have too much hysteresis compared to the travel required to actuate the switches. The shifter actuation of the switch lever is only 0.07″ but the switch has about 0.04″ of hysteresis. So I can adjust it to work for a few times in a row but even later on in the same day one or both of the microswitches will either fail to close or fail to open. If the shifter would push the lever more than 0.07″ that would help. The switch has about 0.2″ of travel however the shifter only moves it by 0.07″. Perhaps other B&M shifters will move the lever of the switch more and operate them more reliably.
