   I normally use the smaller recharge kit (white bottle) but since i ran out, I bought this spray and the bigger oil can to match. I used it on a k&n filter I had never cleaned and unlike the other white bottle cleaner, it did not completely remove the oil, so it is hard to say I’m 100% satisfied. I will need to test it on the other filter which I have cleaned before to see if it was just this filter. Not sure if it is the same exact formula as the white bottle and it very well could be, but I will update this when I clean the older filter again which i just cleaned with the white recharge kit so it won’t be for a while. Since i don’t see any other alternatives I imagine this is the only option for regular (non synthetic) k&n filter cleaner, if you can get your hands on the white bottle cleaner that works great and I can vouch for that. In this case the problem could be the filter, I have bought a few of the white recharge kits so I know how to clean filters. Time will tell

   Great cleaner, easy way to save money with your K&N filter Although I clean mine at 10,000 because it seems like my mileage was getting lower than usual. I took it out, sprayed generously with the cleaner, let it set the 10 minutes and ran water through it from the side where its clean to flush out the dirt on the other side. I used a low pressure from the shop sink faucet, warm water, just because, that….no high pressure water or you will damage the filter, if there is any debris left in there, I used the sink sprayer, or use something really thin to pick it out, compressed air not recommended as well, you might damage the filter, then when you are SURE you cleaned the cleaner off the filter completely with water, let it air dry, when it is dried completely you re-oil it with the k&n oil till its evenly red on all the filter media, do no over oil it, as long as it turns red, no white, you’re good. I have used this on filters that ware very old and really packed with gunk and it really worked well. I’d buy it again.the cleaner overall does an excellent job of cleaning the filter

   I used this on my K&N CAI filter on my 2002 Mustang. I unfortunately had neglected my filter for longer than I should have and it was very gunked up. Im not sure how my engine was even getting any air thats how dirty the filter was. I applied this cleaner fairly liberally and totally soaked the filter. Waited the 10 minutes like the direction on the bottle said. Then used my garden hose and sprayed from the inside of the filter outward. I must say, I was very impressed with how clean the filter turned out with just one treatment of this cleaner. I thought for sure I would have to treat my filter twice to get it clean, but one time was enough. I highly recommend this cleaner. I should also note that I should be able to get at least 2 more treatments with this bottle. Even totally drenching the filter there is still plenty in the bottle for multiple uses. Totally worth the money and way cheaper than buying a whole new filter.

   I have been using K&N filters for the past 20+ years, oil and air- This cleaner is the way to go for keeping my K&N air filter clean, I live down a dirt road (55 miles) and it can get dusty, but thanks to the High Quality Filter media in K&N’s air filters, it’s no problem to clean with this cleaner when it needs it- I would always recommend the original cleaner as well as the oil to maintain top performance- Thanks Amazon for the ability to shop from the backwoods for the products that I need to keep life out here “At the Ranch” running smoothly- Thanks to K&N for products that keep my truck running top notch

   There may be some other methods to cleaning an oiled, permanent air filter, but never really found a good oil and filter cleaner solution other than K&N.Picked it up and it worked well. No complaints. Wish there were other options, but will stick with what I know works.

   If you have a K&N air filter you need this. I have been using the same K&N filter on my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado since I bought it new. If you maintain your filter with this cleaner, you should never have to buy a replacement filter for your vehicle.

   Product arrived with different label then what was advertised. The bottle had leaked out approx 2 tbs of product and was wet inside the shrink wrapping.

   Works well on the filter.It’s also a great de greaser.Milage comment doesn’t apply.
