Purchased this to clean my K&N RF-1042 high airflow engine filter on my Challenger 6.4L. Instructions were straightforward. The only thing I didn’t like was the black spray bottle (cleaner) is finger operated and extremely flimsy. It takes forever to cover the surface area of the filter, if they could make the cleaner bottle pressurized like the oil can this would be way better. I didn’t realize how much my filter had faded until I reapplied the red oil. You can get 2-3 cleanings out of this kit depending on the size and how dirty your air filter is. K&N advertises 100k miles of normal use before you need to clean your filter but this is contingent on the environment and what ‘normal’ use means. I clean mine twice a year (fall and spring). A kit like this lasts me about 2 years but I only average about 9k miles a year. Make sure you check the K&N website to see what cleaners are appropriate for your filter, mine is a cotton filter but they make ones out of different materials that need different cleaners and oils.
