First of all, the Air Lift team was very responsive to me when I had an air leak issue with one of the bag connections. For that I give them a 5 star rating. A couple parts (screws and washers) were missing, but I have an assortment on hand. Installation time by some reviewers is well understated. Unless you have a full lift, to allow you to stand under the truck and reach some of the difficultly accessible screws and bolts, plan on spending an entire days doing the installation. Laying on your back on a creeper, going back and forth under the truck to retrieve parts and tools, and re-reading the instructions and trying to figure out which “M” bolt is to be used, delay the installation by several hours. I’m quite mechanically proficient and have been turning wrenches for 60 years, yet this installation took a full day. Unless you enjoy laying on your back and working in tight spaces, have a local garage do the installation. It should be mentioned (although not in the instruction / assembly sheet), Removing the driver side rear shock, is the only way that you can get the assembled air bag into place.Update after 2 days. One air bag did not hold air pressure at 6.5 psi over night. Recheck fittings for leaks and found no bubbling at the connections. Refilled the air bag to 7 psi and 2 hours later the air pressure read 0. Refilled the air bag this time to 30 psi and checked the fitting again. No leaks at the (hose) fittings but did find that the fitting into the top of the air bag was bubbling despite confirming it was tight. Unfortunately that means the air bag needs to be replaced (probably meaning another long removing and installing a replacement. Update on the replacement process. When I removed the air bag and had it on the bench I filled it to 20 psi. and bubble tested. No leaks were detected until I moved the swivel fitting going into the top of the bag which is when air bubbles began to appear where the 90 degree swivel fitting compression is. The swivel fitting was the problem all along.

The value for the money was very good. I’ve not had a lot of pulling time w/ them since they were installed to get a real good feel for how they will handle my fifth wheel, so the jury is still out on that. However, my 1st impressions are very favorable. The installation was not near as easy as it was said to be. I’m glad that I decided to have them installed instead of doing it myself, which was original plan. Installation took much longer than had been indicated & ultimately cost me almost as much as I spent for the suspension kit. So I was not real happy about that, but in the end, I think it’s going to be a good investment for my truck & fifth wheel. The problem w/ my installation, that wasn’t clearly spelled out was my fifth wheel hitch. And it was installed by an Air Lift dealership & they had their fair share of problems w/ the install.

Reading over the reviews of how easy or hard it was to install these bags. Well I found myself saying both. Some parts where hard to put in and others where really hard. Let’s just talk about the product shall we. It’s a high quality product and looks very durable. I thought the instructions where difficult but loved the pics they provided. Please, review the many install videos on the web for a better understanding of what to expect. Now as for the truck. This was the hardest part for me. The bolts and other parts that needed to come off or just move out of the way was the hardest part. After 7 years on the road it took awhile to get many of the nuts and bolts lose. It took me longer than most but that’s because I was to careful and unsure of myself. Now that’s it done I could have this done in a few hours.I would buy again, I would also look around for a shop to install and I would have upgraded to the best ones like the braided lines, but that’s just my opinion.

I installed this in my driveway over the course of two evenings after work. Install was easy, but I took my time and did it right the first time. No rush. I installed the T-adapter and put the single fill nipple inside the fuel door. No leaks, no rework. Very happy and highly recommend.

I have a 2012 Ford F450, I tow a 46’ gooseneck trailer with living quarters. The weight of the trailer fully loaded is between 15lbs & 18lbs. The air bags level the truck, increase stability & safety, smooth ride and a sense of security when towing. If you tow anything over 6lbs, you should have air bags.

Have a b&w turnover gooseneck and it works but isn’t very clear on install. Would buy again now that I have installed them

App won’t let me add photos. Not horrible to install, previous owner of truck made it difficult from what they did I had to undo so took 10hr install time. Driver side is not perfectly upright regardless of adjustment. Works fine, truck still squats a few inches but a lot better than before. Ride quality is greatly improved as well as handling.
