   The shoulder on the shaft of my my bench grinder was only 1/16″ tall and the flanges were wobbling, allowing the grinding wheels to run untruly. This spacer gave more than 3/16″ shoulder height and solved the problem.

   These spacers worked great to center a wire wheel’s flange washers on the 1/2″ arbor of my bench grinder. They securely rest against the arbor’s inner-most stop (which is a slightly larger diameter step on the arbor). They are snug to the arbor, but are easy to install and remove. This is exactly the solution I needed to mount my wire wheel.
