I’ve read so much about this pump …. ITS BS ! I’ve Been a mechanic all my life. I put this on a 2500 ram diesel, turns the tires (35’s) on gravel, get it on concrete, or asphalt, wont even move them 3 inches. I had a Napa re manufactured pump in prior to this one, it was 37.95 plus tax, it worked like this one is supposed to, I could turn my wheels with no problem on any surface. Had to replace the Napa pump cuz it lost all the fluid, broke a hose. The Napa pump lasted another year and a half after it ran dry.I even got their new hose kit from them, flushed the system with 2 quarts fluid before installing this pump, then another 2 quarts, after, don’t want to be blamed for this crappy pump.So people, go to Napa, and spend the 37.95 for a re manufactured pump, don’t spend 5 times as much like I did.

I installed the unit I should say I had it professionally installed by a garage and within two week the unit started to leak from around the seal that hold the fluid in the canister thus rendering the unit useless. Need less to say I have to purchase a new unit and at my cost have the one just installed removed and replaced. and yes all of the hoses were replaced and all orings were checked prior to installation The fact is that I had the complete front end replaced so the vacuum pump and all was out rebuilt and put back in when there was no obstructions making it hard to install or not to ensure it was properly installed and aligned correctly. A second shop was the ones that verified there was a seal leak because of the amount of fluid all over the bottom of the engine. When I identified that there was a leak I could see without any issues that there was oil running down the side an puddling at the bottom of the unit. I’m sure the remady would be to remove it and send it back only problem is that it’s not something I can drop what I’m doing and fork out more cash right now for something I bought new and shouldn’t have leaked this soon if ever. I don’t have the time right now to get it done so I out a truck and can do the repair until I get back in state in a month. That’s right if there was a return it would have to take place within 30 days or all is voided, probably not true because its been longer than 30 days now. Buyer be ware this product gets a -0 from me.

Installed this pump on our 95 dodge cummins….wow what a difference….no leaks drips….nothing. followed the instructions and no issues.Good choice for a replacement pump…..

This pump was listed as a direct bolt-on replacement for my truck. In fact, it was a direct bolt-on replacement. It supposedly has higher capacity than the stock pump and I don’t doubt it. Borgeson enjoys a great reputation and promises a lifetime warranty, those were the deciding factors for me. So far, it seems to be working fine, but not must time or mileage on it yet.

This is a “real” Borgeson power steering pump. Fits my 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 5.9 perfectly in form and function. Highly reccomend this seller!!! Watch out for other sellers with inferior products that wont provide the pressure requirements for a diesel.
