Sounds awesome! OK, so the claim about better fuel mileage is a stretch and many will deny that you’ll get any horsepower but it certainly feels more powerful even if it is just my ears playing tricks on my other senses. Which brings me back to the sound. If you think your Grand Cherokee is too quiet like I did then this is the mod for you. It’s not so loud that it is annoying, in fact you only really hear it when you are over half throttle but when you do it’s sweet music for the soul. The only bad part about this product is the price. K&N charges A LOT for this. Too much in fact. I only bought mine because it was a “scratch & dent” special. There are other companies that get you almost the same thing except with aluminum tubing for $150 – $160. Some will claim you get more power with plastic tubing because it stays cooler but I really doubt it. As long as air is moving through the tube it stays cool. Yes, the K&N is built in America and the other brands are China built which is the only reason I paid more but hopefully these other companies cause K&N to reduce their prices a little, I’m sure they can still keep their lights on with a 200% mark up. They can claim R&D cost all they want but the filter technology was paid for a long time ago and the ducting route really isn’t that complicated. And don’t even get me started on AIRAID, those guys are robbing us blind! But I would certainly recommend this product as long as you can get a good price.

I have a 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel AWD with the Hemi 5.7 and Live in San Diego. Now every car manufacture has issues on things they should do. Putting in a better air flow system is one of them and here is why. When I received my K & N air intake system I reviewed the instructions and per-assembled most I could to make it easier during assembly. When I installed the system in just under an hour because I also cleaned my Throttle body and intake manifold as far I could (which I recommend). Looking at the manufactures system it has a big bay for the air to just sit in and not push into the air intake to give the performance required, just pure junk ! After installing the system always time for a road test. OMG ! What a difference ! I had pick up in throttle response that I did not have before. in the 4 days it has been installed I have gained about 4 miles to the gallon and the HP that the system has given has got to be 15HP or more to my guess but the sound is YUMMY. It sounds like a Hemi engine now. To sum it up, the gas savings and the Horsepower are the most important issue here. After all this and you still do not get a air intake system, then you are chocking out your vehicle. Do not lag, buy a system you will love it. Enough said……..

First, I installed this on a 2018 Grand Cherokee Limited Sterling edition with the 5.7L equipped with the tow package. I have also installed K&N intake systems on at least 6 other vehicles over the last decade. As expected the fit and engineering is very good. It took less than 20 minutes to install – in part because there are not many factory mounting points and removal of the stock intake system takes about 2 minutes. After installing I took it for a 5 mile test drive – mainly to see what the noise level is. I was surprised how quiet the K&N system is for this vehicle. Probably the quietest intake I have installed to date, and it only has a slight grumble at full open throttle above 3,000 RPM. That is a good thing – my wife rolled her eyes when she saw the box arrive, and at idle and normal acceleration is really isn’t much louder than stock. Throttle response is slightly better and I have no idea if I’ll see an increase in mileage, but I’ve actually been happy with the 19-20 we have seen in the first 1,000 miles. As others have mentioned, be careful with the air sensor – it’s fragile but as long as you remove and replace by hand you will be fine. There is a metal coolant line on my Jeep that runs under the intake – I had to bend the bracket on the line to allow it to clear but you can also fine tune the angle of the intake tube before tightening the fittings on both sides. Looks great and I like the reusable / washable filter. I’d buy this again.

Installed pretty easy on the 2021 Durango RT.Came with the metal piece to block the hood vent above the filter.Disappointing that the Main pipe is plastic and not aluminum.I have a Corsa exhaust and this filter is barely noticeable sound along side that.Maybe there is some sound now, but with the exhaust, which isn’t overly aggressive, I don’t really notice.NO noticeable MPG change around town or Highway. The Durango also has an air intake temp gage, the intake temo didn’t change with this filter . I ended up taking it off and retuning it.

I installed this on a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 Hemi. Not really sure if I got a HP boost but gas mileage improved by 2-3 miles per gallon on the highway not driving in eco mode. Easy install, good sound, but not overwhelmingly loud.

Fairly simple to install, sounds great
