While this is an excellent product, this particular model came up as fitting my 2016 F150 with the 5.0 V8…this is not the correct application for this intake. This one is the EcoBoost version. 401-293 is the correct Airaid intake for the V8! My bad totally, I probably should have looked closer at the pictures as that is obviously not the coyote engine in the blue truck. I just took the Amazon recommendation as gospel. Don’t make my mistake peeps! 🙂

AIRAID 400-338 Air Intake Kit (Non-CARB Compliant) The add says non-CARB compliant but the Airaid website and the product information says it is CARB Compliant. Easy install. looks GREAT! snug fit to the turbo lines. went together in less than an hour total removal and install. With the SS cover on the sound increase is minimal if you want to keep the noise level down and appreciate how quiet the cab is and how well it is insulated. With the cover off the air noise and turbo noise is more pronounced. CAN’T BEAT THE PRICE ANYWHERE! VERY NICE UPGRADE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dry filter is essential for any forced induction application. This CAI performs as advertised. Better throttle response, for sure, seat of pants dyno says modest increase in power. Fit and finish was flawless and installed in the driveway in less than 30 minutes with simple tools.

I admit…I bought an AFE cold air intake before I bought this one. But after getting the AFE intake installed (finally…it took forever) I realized that the fit and finish just left something to be desired. Not only that, the hole drilled for the sensor was bent and out of round, and metal decorative plate was crooked and bent, AND to top it all off I actually LOST MPG with the AFE intake! So, I decided to give this Airaid intake a try…and I’m SO glad I did! This thing is AMAZING! From the build quality (the best I’ve seen), to the install instructions, to the increase in throttle response, to the materials…everything about this intake is great! I also like the closed box design. It’s much quieter than the AFE intake (it was a little obnoxious), but I suppose I could take the cover off the box of the Airaid if I wanted it to be a little louder and get some more sound. But I like the way it sounds with the cover on it. You can just tell that this intake kit from Airaid is top notch, and your truck is getting the right amount of air it needs to perform it’s best. If you’re on the fence about getting this one or an AFE intake…GO WITH AIRAID!!!

Definitely the lowest quality CAI that I have ever purchased. Poor quality control in terms of pieces fitting together; this thing has to be forced into place to make it work, and still doesn’t even “loosely” seal. The top cover of the filter box was warped and doesn’t seat. The front intake dam doesn’t match up to the filter box. No noticeable change in throttle response or mpg. One of the parts was broken, though it was a non issue for install. Will be pulling this off of my truck and returning ASAP.

I thought that the Cold Air Intake was built well and will hold up over time. instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only issue I had was that the supplied washers did not fit the screws. They were just a hair too small. I had some that fit in the garage so I just used them. If I hadn’t had some that fit I would have been making a run to Lowes and would not have been too happy about it. The thing looks great under the hood. I don’t hear any difference at all in Turbo or engine noise even when I left the lid off. I guess that is because the cab is so quiet in the F150. I was able to feel a little bit of a different in HP at higher RPMs. I’ve only had in on there for about 20 miles so I can’t tell you if there is an improvement in MPG yet. Overall I would buy it again.

Nice air intake for my 2019 F-150 2.7L Ecoboost. This system does not add any intake noise. You can hear the turbos spool up but no annoying intake roar. If want stupid loud just buy any big open cone filter a fart can muffler and move back to CA.The Airaid box actually adds a few HP. I wouldn’t say a lot but acceleration is a little quicker. If you’re going to add a tune this would be a great start. After 50 miles on very dusty roads in Eastern WA I checked the filter. It was very dirty but most of the dust knocked out easily. This is the reason I opted for a dry filter. Dust sticks to oiled filters and can’t be cleaned in the field. The inside of the intake was clean, no fine dust go through at all.

Installing it was a process. Had to get clamp from Lowe’s. Came with some wrong parts. Kinda fits weird. Directions are backwards – put hoses and clamps on stock parts first THEN match in aftermarket intake. Sounds incredible. Looks great.
