High Energy Hydraulic lifters have a patented constant orifice metering valve that precisely meters oil to the rocker arms. Continuous contact between the metering valve and pushrod seat is maintained, eliminating excessive oiling at high engine speeds. The pushrod seat is made of a special powdered metal iron alloy that is heat-treated for strength and wear resistance. In addition, High Energy Lifters have a lightweight check valve disc that allows for quicker response, which results in increased engine speed before valve float. This check valve disc also maintains added control at all engine speeds and loads. COMP Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifters also contain a longer piston than conventional hydraulic lifters, which provides more load bearing surface and increases lifter longevity.

These are exact replacement items for Land Rover Discover II 4.6 lifters!Keep in mind the Land Rover 4.6 is a buick (gm) 215 v8.Way cheaper than OEM, better quality than OEM. Its Comp Cams!Love them, can’t argue nearly $100 over stock junk priced options.
I tell it how it is –
This item arrived not as I expected. The lifters had been soaked in solvent from somewhere other than the manufacture. I called comp cams to make sure. these are good lifters but I had to disassemble each one to remove the solvent. Because of the solvent issue I suspected that they were used when I got them, but they have no signs of wear. I would buy these again, but would hope they were soaked in oil rather that solvent. and that they would come to me from a seller just as they would the manufacturer.

All lifters were scattered in the bottom of the padded envelope they shipped them in the box it was supposed to be in was in pieces there were lots of tiny cardboard particles down in the lifters paid way to much for them to be in this condition but lifters look ok afterspending about an hour cleaning all the cardboard out of each lifter hopefully there’s no issues an they work as they should will update later

Worked great in my Buick riviera with the 430 motor. Prior to installation I let them soak in oil for 2 days. Also made sure to prime my oil pump again. Just Incase. Had them in for about a week so far and no issues
