Twin-Tip design enables faster flame propagation for more complete combustion. DENSO pioneered the use of platinum in spark plug manufacturing. To maximize the longevity and enhance the durability of the spark plug, DENSO applied platinum to both the center and ground electrodes. Platinum offers superior resistance to erosion and corrosion enabling DENSO to create a spark plug capable of consistent performance.Five rib insulator prevents flashover
- Twin-tip technology with 11 mm platinum center electrode and 11 mm titanium enhanced ground electrode
- Improve fuel economy, better acceleration and faster starts than all other single platinum plugs
- Purified alumina powder insulator provides exceptional dielectric strength and thermal conductivity, allowing the material to stand up to extreme stress

I bought a set of these plugs for my 2002 Porsche Boxster. The Boxster had 50K miles with the OEM plugs, made by Beru, a French company. Those plugs have four prongs facing towards a fat center electrode. The Boxster uses a coil-on-plug design, and those Beru plugs were noticeably worn with a big gap between the electrode and prongs. I’ve always been a fan of Denso plugs, but have tended towards their iridium plugs. Their iridium plugs have invariably increased my observed mpg consistently by at least 1 mpg. With the Boxster, though, I wanted to try something different, so I got these plugs. I was surprised at the difference in performance that these plugs made. I felt a big increase in bottom end torque and the engine winds up to redline without a worry. For the price, they are a flat out bargain. I like these plugs, and my Porsche really likes them, too!

Simply Awesome Spark Plugs. I wish i knew about these when i had my previous Honda Civic. Installed these in my 2009 Honda CR-V (Replaced NGK ZFR6K) and from the get go i have seen exceptional improvement in acceleration smoothness, power and in MPG. I can say there seems to be something behind them being double platinum tipped and not just hype. The price in these are great (less than the standard plugs i took out) and being platinum should last a longer time. Iridium’s to me were just too expensive to substantiate me buying them. I do not believe any standard spark plug should be in a vehicle for more than 2 years. As i have seen many coil packs fail due to worn out spark plugs. With these being Platinum i may keep them in a little longer say 3 years or so before taking them out for inspection to see if they can go longer.

I’ve had them in since August, 2017 and they did ok. I have a 2002 VW PASSAT 1.8 T. I put these in along with new coil packs because I was throwing misfires. Well, today I was showing another misfire. Barely 5 months. I bought new spark plugs, I went with NGK laser Platinum Premium, which came stock on the VW. JUST TO CLARIFY, THE PLUGS DO NOT COME PRE-GAPPED. It was stated in the Q and A section that they do not need to be gapped. That could have been my issue because when I took out the Denso plugs, they looked fine but I had already bought the NGK’S. Make sure to check your cars specifications before just bolting in.

Replaced the standard 30K plugs on my 2005 Jeep Liberty the other day. The tachometer used to read ~2500rpm when I was doing 70mph… now it reads ~2000rpm. Not much difference on regular city mileage and rpms, but it seems much better on the highway…. now as long as they last well, I will be happy.I will update if there is any change.
