   Don’t bother wasting your time with a high pressure or high volume small block Chevrolet oil pump. Use this stock pump with a larger 3/4″ pick. This pump will not suck your oil pan dry on long acceleration runs, and will supply adequate pressure without too much parasitic drag. This is the upgraded pump used on all Vortex and earlier LT1-LT4 Chevrolet small block engines. It was delivered very quickly and the casting is good and strong. Make sure to *WELD* the pick-up onto the oil pump for maximum reliability.

   Worked great on my 96 Blazer 4×4. Oil pressure is mich higher too! Seeing mostly 60psi now instead of like 40-50. Picture was actually my stock oil pump.

   Installed this pump in my new race engine and has always had good pressure. I trust these pumps over the HV pumps. I had an issue with a HV pump where the pressure regulator spring malfunctioned causing it to blow oil filter gasket off and dump the oil. After researching online I learned this was a pretty common problem with the HV pumps.
