Great starter, Exact OEM replacement. Been on the truck since last september and never misses a beat. Had to shim it up a bit to keep it from making that God awful sound GM starters do but thats any GM starter.

Bolted right up and worked. This is the first GM starter I’ve had to change in almost two decades. No complaints. No shims necessary in my case.

The starter bolted up just fine and had a nice fast crank to it. Only problem was, it wouldn’t turn off when I turned the key to the “ON” or “OFF” position! I verified that the starter was the problem through troubleshooting the ignition switch among a few other things.Sounds like the quality control in China is not up to par.

Failed after 3 months and I couldn’t start my truck to get to work. Good thing my boss is a decent guy and I didn’t get fired. The starter would spin but did not engage the plunger to push the pinion gear into the flywheel. Sometimes works after 5 or 6 tries but I can’t rely on it. At least ACDelco warrantied it, but it still cost me in time to install it and the inconvenience of a vehicle that won’t start. Now I have to install a new starter in the middle of winter. Utter garbage, you get what you pay for, save yourself the trouble and pay the extra money for a newer high-torque starter.
