This regulator saved me a lot of money! I didn’t have to remove the alternator to replace the regulator. Once this new one was installed, my car’s charging system was A-OK again! It only took me about 10 minutes to remove the old one and install this one. I highly recommend it. It’s still working fine after 6 months and a lot of miles.

I have a 1991 300e. This is common trouble spot on these cars.I replaced it just to be cautious. Sure enough the old one was about 80% usedup. Now… this one says “Made in China”… soooo thats not my favorite thing tosee… but its a simple enough part… I think all will be well.I am a so/so mechanic. I installed it without a hoist. Its not easy to get to… but, not too tough.I recommend replacing these things before they fail. Cheap insurance.

Just installed it on my 1988 Mercedes 300E with 147K miles. I decided to replace the voltage regulator because I was having intermittent electrical issues such as fuel quantity needle jumping around. As you can see from photos, the old regulator brushes are worn away. NOTE: I did not have to remove the alternator to change the regulator, but I did disconnect the negative battery cable which is a MUST DO. Also, I used a zip ties to compress the brushes (see photo) and then installed the regulator. After installation, I cut the zip tie and pulled it out ” slowly”.

I needed a voltage regulator for the alternator on my Mercedes 420sel restoration and this fitted the bill nicely. The cost was much less than competitors and it slotted into it’s position without any problems.

Pretty much OEM replacement for my 1993 Volvo 240. Says made in China… well don’t let that scare you. I’ve had “German” regulators on reman Bosch alternators that look worse. GOOD BUY!

Installed in 3 year old Alternator on my 1987 300d turbo. Putting out 13.75 volts now. Old one wore the brushes out.
