   This relay was perfect. It performs exactly as described. I used it to give power to my park lights after I opened my truck door. My setup included this relay and a 30/40 Amp. instant relay. The instant relay gave battery power to my park lights circuit. The light inside my door powered both relays but the timed relay acted as an overide for the instant relay. Once the timed relay switches over after a given time the instant relay loses power which would break the lights connection to the battery. For a light connection I just tied in with a positive wire that had power when my lights where on. If your keyless entry can turn on your door light, it can turn on your parklights

   Haven’t actually gotten around to using it yet, but for the price this thing should come with a sticker to cover the top with once you have calibrated it, making it more weather resistant, and also covering the adjustments so other people don’t mess with it.Update : Have it installed now FINALLY! Works great! I am using it as a timer to kill the engine if I loose oil pressure, charge, or the engine, or hydraulic temperature gets too high.

   Works like a charm! Bought this relay to start my radiator electric cooling fan about 30 seconds after starting the engine so that there wouldn’t be such a big amperage draw off of the battery. Typical Hella quality and made in Germany. Much better than the cheaply made relays from China or wherever that have smaller electrical contacts inside (after taking various relays apart) that can’t handle the rated amperage. Just wish these Hella time delay relays didn’t cost so much $$$. But then again, if you want a quality well made part and not junk then it’ll cost more these days.

   Hella products are quality products in my humble opinion so I we ordered this to replace the lighting relay on my motorcycle. The idea being that when I turn the ignition on I don’t want the headlights and signal lighting to put a draw on the battery while I am trying to start the engine. Just the headlight draws 10A. Also, motorcycle batteries are notoriously underpowered. I will set it for 7 to 12 seconds and fine tune that so the lighting comes on just after the engine is started. My HD VRod uses standard mini-relays (this same form factor and pin outs are standard)..Unit is rated at a maximum of 10A and I am switching the headlight out for a DayMaker LED headlight — I think total lighting circuit load will be less than 10A (signals and brake light already converted to LED without the use of an inefficient load-resistor.

   Works as described. Adjustable delay on make.In simple terms. When you apply power to the relay there is a time delay to energize the switching on. I use this for my power brake booster pump, prevents short cycling the motor. Allows a few second delay each time it powers on.

   I bought some other variants from amazon to add a delay to my LED/HID headlights. These can be customized to a wide range of delay times with the switches and potentiometer. Mine is set to about 2.5 seconds after I start the car. Works great. Wish the price was more reasonable (that’s why the 4 star).

   Using it to delay the starting of my cooling fan on my radiator. Works as I had hoped and very adjustable.
