   The WIX website states not to use a race car filter in a street car. The reason being that the micron rating for a race car is much larger than in a street car filter. A racing filter will allow larger particles, be it metals or other impurities to pass through the filter, as race cars demand an extremely higher oil flow rate. Using a race car filter in a street car could damage your engine.

   The filter boxes were clearly old and had moisture damage. One filter looks to be in the original factory sealed plastic inside the box. However the second filter that I ordered was clearly wrapped in saran wrap and has a little bit of oil on it. These filters are for a very expensive car would probably not use the one filter that clearly looks opened disappointed that these filters weren’t “new” like described
