KYB Strut Boot Kits keep your struts protected from dirt, dust, sand, salt and other road debris. These harmful elements cause abrasive wear to the polished shaft, upper seal & bushing. KYB Strut Boot Kits prevent these contaminants from entering the strut by covering the entire strut shaft in a highly durable plastic bellows. This can easily extend the life of the strut. The KYB Strut Boot Kit includes a poly foam travel-limiting bumper. It’s designed to protect the strut from bottoming out and protects other components from extreme movement damage.
- Superior quality boot helps protect the strut shaft from leak-causing dirt and debris
- Poly foam bumper prevents the strut from bottoming out
- Built with design and quality that matches or exceeds OE
- Protects the upper seal and bushing

I Purchased these bump stops for a 2011 Acura MDX front suspension overhaul. The bump stops than selves fit great and met my expectations no-fault there. The plastic shock bump stop accordion sleeve however did not fit for the MDX even though fitment said it would be a direct fit. The factory parts on the MDX were still in fine shape after a clean up so it was not a big deal. I primarily ordered this kit for the bump stops themselves. This is just a heads up to anyone ordering them for an 2011 mdx.

So this worked well, and have been installed on my KYB excel-g Gas Struts that I just installed in my Camry. The only reason i know that these are the correct way – despite their written instructions, and their video that they provide, was googling pictures. Face-Palm. All they had to do was provide 1 picture of it installed on to the strut and everyone would have understood, but no. Instead they showed you how to remove/reinstall the strut, but they never showed how to install the Strut Boot. Ok so here it is. On the Toyota Camry the white part is on top of the strut boot. See attached pictures.

Sometimes you can buy something and it turns out that it is not what you thought that you were buying, this was not the case this time.

Not a good choice. Buy the Lexus part if you have a LS430. The bump stop certainly fits the shaft of the shock, but it doesn’t secure to the underside of the upper mount like the factory bumpstops do. As a result, it doesn’t stay in place and you can hear the bumpstop shift up and down in the bellow on heavy bumps. The factory and correct bumpstop for an LS430 will actualyl secure to the upper mount, so it won’t move and if the bumpstop is needed it will not shift and bend weird to the side. This is a bad band-aid.

Toyota has some weird bottom spring cushion plus bellows boot all in one thing. You have to cut the shredded boot away from the spring cushion and add this boot and all is good. More heavy duty than the thin Toyota OEM boot.
