The factory rubber throttle body hose on the 2008+ Subaru WRX is prone to failure, especially on vehicles running increased boost pressures. Mishimoto has developed a high-strength silicone replacement hose that provides increased pressure and heat tolerance, thanks to its 100% silicone construction. This hose features five layers of silicone with heat-resistant embedded fibers that withstand substantial boost pressure. The hose is equipped with a position indicator, making installation a breeze and possible in less than one hour. The Mishimoto Subaru WRX Silicone Throttle Body Hose is available in black, blue, and red, and it includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty, ensuring superior product quality and craftsmanship.

After a few attempts to fix my ’12 wrx oem hose by removing the sleeves, adjusting the clamps, and repositioning it, I finally caved and got this hose. I looked at it from day one but although inexpensive, I didn’t want to pay that much for a hose.I finally got it and I guess I’m paying for the engineering for such a specific application so I’ll suck it up and say I’m happy with my purchase. I’ve heard these used to come with T-bolt clamps but honestly idk how I would’ve made those fit, the clamps included seem better than stock…or maybe its just because they’re new. For those that wish paper instructions with some pictures were included, like most qualify parts (or even a better install video that doesn’t miss the main issue with installation), I’ll save you some trouble. The indentation and writing go on the intercooler side. While the video says writing goes up and someone else mentioned writing off to the passenger side a bit, mine was more off to the drivers side.HUGE pro tip: the indentation goes on the bottom, centered. Took me two tries but with the indentation placement figured out, hopefully I’ll save you some headaches.

Used for a 2005 LGT Wagon, car has 185k has leaking pipes everywhere, this is the last one I replaced and Well worth the money. Had a boost leak on a stock motor, replaced all vacuum lines, the turbo inlet tube, intercooler and finally this pipe Intercooler to throttle. Hesitation went away and seems to run better. For install I had logo facing up intercooler side. Also had an issue with the mounting bracket on the drivers side of the engine. The two front 12 mm bolts I couldn’t get to realign back up. (Assuming this part was a little longer) so I drilled a hole between the 2 12mm bolts and just installed one bolt back. That’s what I had to do maybe yours will be different! Who cares it’s running! Nothing better then flying by a nice car on the highway in an old wagon!!

Clamps were pretty garbage. I’d definitely recommend using the original clamps when installing. And for 70$ come on that’s a lil wack. Buuuuuut… i didn’t buy it for the clamps. I bought it to replace the coupler. And it is perfect.

If you are taking off the intercooler for anything go ahead and replace this hose ..They are known to fail and get boost leaks.. We was doing a bigger Top Mount Intercooler so why not definitely worth every penny…

Fit like a glove and a strong improvement in feel over the stock one. No performance gains with this one, just the assurance that it will mot blow out, as the stock one at 135k is hardened and starting to split. Great update! No trimming! Just remove and install.

As others have stated, getting the correct orientation is tedious to say the least. Once its on there though it fits well! Overall zero complaints so far!2013 WRX
