When I first received the battery I questioned whether this was a knockoff because it did not have the PC 680 designation. I was replacing a PC 680 I had purchased from Battery Mart 5 years ago. After looking into it further I discovered that the PC 680 designation is a part # used by Battery Mart for the Odyssey battery. All the other identifiers on the batteries were identical. In reading the reviews on the battery, I found there was quite a wide range of realized longevity reports, everywhere from a few months to 10 years. Frankly, for what it is worth, I have found that batteries last almost exactly as long as they are rated for. I can’t complain since both batteries I have replaced over the years lasted 5 years each. I think a big assist on improving the longevity of the battery is to have it hooked up to a BatteryMinder Plus when not in use. It can be purchased on Amazon. This device works to desulfate the battery which prolongs its life. A good investment! I have two of them that are hooked up to both batteries I have in the plane when not flying.

Best battery I ever bought. I’ve had my Vmax for 12 years and bought a new Yuasa every two years. It had to be charged if you didn’t ride for a couple of months and was sluggish to turn the bike over after about the first 12 months no matter what. I let this one sit for 6 months and took the bike out today. It cold cranked like a brand new battery and I never put a charger on it since I bought it. That’s pretty dang good. It takes some juice to turn over a high compression 1200cc like a Vmax. Impressed for sure and would buy again, but probably won’t need to for a while.

18 months and it will no longer take and hold a charge. Oh well. It’s $100 cheaper than a bmw branded one. It started getting a little sluggish at the 14 month mark but me being the stubborn one wanted every last bit of my moneys worth out of it

I use as an engine starting battery and ordered as extra for my 5 yr old battery. I use the Odyssey Charger to top it off if not used in a month just to ensure it is always ready. Battery maintainers will kill this battery. Oil it dead, so don’t do that.
