I originally tried an equivalent from Summit and while it worked great at first, it died after a few months. A 2nd attempt with them didn’t produce enough voltage so back it went. I should have gone with the Powermaster from the beginning. Lesson learned.

I’m sure this is a great alternator, but unfortunately this does not fit a 84′ Dodge Ram D150 with a stock 318 5.2 V8. Well it fits perfectly except that wire that’s wielded on to that piece as shown in the picture. We pulled out the original and that wire wasn’t the same. Amazon was great as usual for helping me with a refund.
