I’ve used these oil filters on my 05 6.0 power stroke since 2nd oil change. I’ve not yet had any issues. Knock wood truck not yet given me one problem. I do flush coolant system I did find out the fomco gold coolant clumps up causing fluid ,egr coolers to over heat I did add coolant system by pass filter I did get egr by pass yet to install it. I do use ford fuel filters and shell rotella full synthetic oil. But no problems with K&N oil or air filters I took that stock air monstrosity filter off add k&N filtering kit difference ( time to pull and clean that) in throttle response and tad better fuel mileage. I’ll stay with what I’ve been doing since 2005 with my p/stroke

This is a great filter I have now used them twice now and with oil sampling they are just as good as oem and cheaper with the same great protection. They look exactly the same in color and design. I’d be shocked if they werent the same filters in a different box. Will keep buying these over oem until the oil sample says something else. I also have run the fuel filters with great outcome also. For the price of an oem fuel filter kit you can get them both from k&n

K&N PS-7009 Pro Series Oil Filter I have mixed feelings about this filter. Most forums say it will over-restrict the oil flow. I trust K&N, have used their products for years, and haven’t had any issues. Thus the mixed feelings. I didn’t see any issues in the oil pressure when I used this filter, but I know problems would not show up on one use. I will probably not get one again, but will stick to the air filters for sure. I used it in a 2004 F-350 Duperfuty with a 6.0L diesel. They have enough problems of their own without me experimenting on it too much. I haven’t encountered any catastrophic failures like some I read about, but then again, I take care not to let stuff go too long before addressing things.

Looks like a wix or motorcraft in a k&n boxWe shall see ill weigh it and the others to see if there is more pleates in the filter.

This is absolutely a Motorcraft FL2016 filter in a K&N box. It’s a great filter and the price is as good or better than other places for the Motorcraft filter, at least as of the last year. Does the job nicely in my powerstroke.

I totally recommend this filter to anyone who cares about their engine. It is as far as I can tell made by the same company that makes the Ford factory filters just labeled with K&N numbers and a K&N box.

Pretty sure this is just a Motorcraft filter in a K&N box. Absolutely no complaints, works great, fits great.
