These are a good replacement to OEM. 3 U Bolts are the same, but one has larger radius bend for fitment near the differential on the passenger side. All bolts fit perfectly. The bend/curve is identical to stock and they fit well around the Dana 30 axle. The overall length of the U Bolt is 3/4 inches longer than stock and hangs low – the wider bolt near the differential hangs even lower than the other three. I did not trim mine after installation, but it looks like they may catch on things and should be trimmed. Extra length may help those using a pinion angle / caster angle wedge spacer where a little space is needed between the axle and the shock mount plate. The larger U Bolt is longer than the others and protrudes lower when installed. The threads on the new U Bolt extend much deeper into the U Bolt compared to OEM/stock. My old stock units are dirty and black. The new U Bolts are shiny silver. I believe they have been coated for corrosion resistance. The bolt thickness is identical to OEM. In fact, the OEM nuts fit the new bolts. The new nuts are about 1/16 inch longer so they have a bit more strength over stock because they have about one more thread of depth. The nuts are tightened using a 3/4 inch socket – same as OEM. The new nuts are similar to OEM and are not a nylon locking nut, but rather a traditional nut – picture in ad appears to be incorrect. My original OEM washers were split locking washers whereas the new washers are thicker flat washers, not locking type. The new washers appear to be grade 8. Overall fit and finish is nice comparable to OEM. I recommend this product and would not hesitate to purchase again as needed. Uploaded images show new compared to original OEM, fitment, as well as packaging.

Don’t trust your life on this POS. It is substandard.Tried on cj5 front axle. Thread stripped at about 50 ft/lbs. final torque on 1/2”x20 should be 90!!! In this application final torque is 55 lbs. Cheap chinesium.

I’ve got a 74 CJ5 and these bolts are slightly larger than the oe plate holes. No problem though, just drilled them out. Very happy with these replacements.
Loco –
Deeper nuts than the rough country ubolts they replaced. No issues.

They went on fairly easy, had some trouble getting the one that goes over the center section on, but finally got them in place on my 1972 Jeep CJ5. I also took a round file and cleaned the holes in the spring plate really well, the out board right one wouldn’t go through the spring plate, the new bolt is bigger around and wont go through, so I opened the spring plate holes some to accommodate that side. They are somewhat longer for shims if you choose to run them. For the rest of us , just cut them off to size. These came to me in a totally crushed box with no real identifying marks as to whom made it . But they did go to torque specifications very easily without stripping out the threads on the spring clips (u bolts). So thank you to the folks at Rubicon Express for a quality product that looks great and looks to be stronger than the originals.
