This harness kit contains everything you need to properly power a single electric fan. It contains a fused power feed for the fan as well as the necessary relay kit to safely switch the fan on and off from either a manual switch or automatic thermostat switch (or both). The kit contained an abundance of what appeared to be aluminum stranded conductor wire and I wound up with a lot left over in my install. The kit also included some butt connectors, two different amperage fuses for the fuse holder, some ring connectors, and some kind of an adapter that I can only assume would be to adapt a spal thermostat to a different thread pattern. The only thing I didn’t like is that the mounting tab for the relay is painted silver. I’d much prefer black, but it’s nothing a quick hit with spray paint cant solve. All of this could be sourced cheaper by buying everything individually, but this kit sure makes it easier.

Incredibly well-built product at a good price. I have a SPAL VA10-AP50/C-61A 12″ puller fan in a ’72 Saab 96 and this was the perfect way to adapt a modern fan to my old car. Derale, Hayden, and others offer similar products but pale in comparison in regards to build quality. Loads of wire included, the yellow and red wires are somewhere just north of 12 AWG (wires are metric, it’s an Italian product) and the grey and orange wires are roughly 18 AWG. I had some initial fuse issues and SPAL’s customer service was out of this world. An actual engineer responded to my lengthy e-mail of specifics with laboratory results in PDF documents detailing inrush currents, wire temperature ratings, etc. Take your time, crimp well, use shrink tubing, and follow the instructions. You can’t go wrong with SPAL.

Usually I prefer to made my own relay harness by myself to be sure I will install perfect and high quality wire and correct gauge, and because I don’t trust market harness.. but I bought one set of spal harness to check it quality.. Honestly I was shocked how it’s awesome quality and perfect made..!! I believe I wist my time and money to made my old harness.. so this is my third order to replace All my old relay harness with spal relay harness.. so I bought 7 sets..!!

As some other people have said this harness is everything you need and of great quality. I was really surprised when I unboxed this harness. Everything is of the highest quality right down to lettering on all the wires to make sure each one is identifiable. I was also surprised to see how long the power wires were for the battery and the fans. I expected maybe five feet but I was amazed as I rolled out ten feet of wire. I ended up cutting off so much that I was able to use it for two other projects. Every connector and terminal was included as well. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to use a fan relay on their next project.

I used this for the fan on my transmission cooler. High quality parts and easy install.

For the PRICE this thing should have a sleeve or a covering over the main yellow power wire at least….that comes from the battery. I don’t run uncovered hot wires directly from the battery, and neither should you. Car fires are not fun. So I bought a sleeve for that wire. KInda pissed me off…again for the PRICE
