Some of the other reviews say they got a generic item. What I got was a Stant cap that fit my car perfectly and solved an overheating problem. I’m my own mechanic, and I know the first and easiest solution to an overheating issue is replacement of the radiator cap. If that didn’t solve the problem, the next step may be replacement of the thermostat. I say may be because quite often I’ve seen cars where the owner doesn’t know how to refill the coolant system. If you’ve lost a lot of coolant or drained it, remove the cap and fill the system until you see coolant at the top of the radiator. Start the car and let it warm up until the thermostat opens. This will be apparent when the coolant is no longer visible in the radiator. Add more coolant until you see the coolant flowing, then replace the cap.

The cap is wonderful quality but it didn’t fit my koyo aftermarket radiator on my del sol (the diameter is too small for the neck), luckily the only problem with my old cap was broken down rubber seals so I carfully transfered the ones from this cap to my old one and just threw the rest of this cap away. Anyway, just wanted to write a review so others with after market radiators know about the fitment issue.

When my radiator cracked I knew it was time to update/upgrade everything in the cooling system.First was this cap. Turns out my old cap had a cracked pressure seal. Unfortunately this cap had such a good seal that my radiator cracked more as it required more pressure to open than the damaged cap. I am fortunate this happened when I was just testing it in town as it prompted me to replace the radiator rather than patch it up as I was planning on doing before a big trip in the California summer heat.Needless to say it was a well-timed purchase and although I don’t like the big “M” in the middle it works as it should and seems well built.

Worked great to replace my worn out cap for my 2005 IS300 with the stock radiator. Old cap had decayed and caused overheating. This solved it

It’s a radiator cap. Needed for my 08 Accord 3.5l. Fit perfect, no issue. Seems to be higher quality and heavier than the factory one. Gaskets appear brand new.Packaging was meh and it was loose in the box, which scuffed up the sticker giving it a worn appearance. For my purposes I don’t care, but you might.
