I drive a 2013 Ford Escape se 1.6L ecoboost Alright I start off by saying I have been wanting a K&N filter for a long time, but I have slacked on getting one. I finally had no other choice but to get this, due to the paper filter in my car was so clogged my car performance hit rock bottom it felt sooo sluggish even going 80mph and my gas mileage went down hard. (My Fault for waiting to long ????????). My engine light was coming on because my (turbo) the psi was higher than it should be due to the clogged filter. I don’t think there’s no other brand like K&N and the name itself makes you think the best. It arrived very fast, I’m a 28 year old guy with light experience in cars. I didn’t have any tools so I took it to AutoZone main hub, I never changed a filter before so I didn’t know what I was doing yeah yeah laugh. I’m one of those people show me the first time and I’m good to go. A worker came with some tools and helped me take off the old filter. MAN oh MAN the filter was packed with stuff and dirty dirty. So I took out the K&N filter and just seeing the way it looked gave me chills. The process was very easy but you do need a couple of tools for screws and a flat head screwdriver to un-loosing the clamp on the K&N filter to fit properly. Alright so Its on, I take off, BRUH!!!!! The car took off super quick, pushed me in my seat no lie. I can hear the filter sucking in a gulp of air saying I can breathe and my turbo was hissing so loud in a good way????????. Just hearing the air filter do it’s thing is so cool, I seem to have more power and I definitely can take off even faster. My gas mileage has improved a lot Thank God!!! Please get this, don’t wait like I did, upgrade to the K&N because those paper filters don’t have fence locks like K&N does to block most of the bad dirts and grimes, this is the best filter hands down. Thank You K&N for these filters!!! I will stock up on these and also got the cleaning and re oil spray on the way????.

Filter is great, sounds good, can tell an immediate difference between this filter and the cheap filter that came with my cold air intake. Very satisfied with the product itself. Only complaint is it doesn’t come with a sticker which isnt really a valid complaint so really you cant go wrong

Bought this for my AEM intake. I could’ve measured it for a better fit but assumed they would be fairly universal. The inserts and brand are why I picked this filter. With the first insert, too tight, second insert, little loose. Cinched it down with the included hose clamp and it’s fine. I’ll likely replace rather than reuse eventually for a better fit. In summary, measure your intake. It’s good to go, there’s enough rubber to close any tiny gaps once tightend down. K&N has a long history with filters and I have never had any reason to not trust them. It looks nicer than the old AEM “dry flow” I have been using since 2005. Kudos to AEM, I’ve washed the filter countless times and it just recently developed some separation in the pleats. So, a 17 year run. Not bad haha.

Easy to install, came with different tube adapters. I’ve now got better throttle response compared to the AEM DryFlow filter I used to run. I’ve also had K&N filters in the past and have yet to have a problem with one. I’ve tried different brands but always come back to K&N. “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!”, stick with K&N for a great and reliable filter. The only other brand I’ve had come close was aFe and for a LOT more money!

I wish the sizing was more clear. Maybe I needed to do a deep dive to find exactly what size will fit my SUV
