This front end kit is much more complete than the GM 8.5″ rear end kit, I am not sure why they can’t both come with shimms and cover gasket as this one does.

I changed my review, although it didn’t come with shims it was still a great kit if all you need to do is change the bearings. Factory shims worked on my application.

I bought this kit to use the pinion bearings as set-up bearings and discovered one of the bearings had a pretty decent gouge in it (picture). If I wasn’t using these just to test fitment, I would definitely return. So, make sure to inspect the bearings, race, etc., upon receipt and before starting your project.
