Wix Spin-On Lube Filters protect the engine from premature wear by removing the abrasive contaminants in the engine lubricating system. They are made of pleated paper which arrests various types of suspended materials. They can easily be installed and requires very low maintenance.

Saw a demonstration on YouTube. A man cut several brands of filters in half to show what materials and construction. My go to Fram oil filter was one of the worst constructed. Wix was one of the best fallowed by K&N made by wix then Motorcraft. This is what I viewed on YouTube. Take it for what it’s worth!

This particular filter is what I use on my Ferris 36″ zero turn mower that is powered by a 27hp Briggs & stratton engine. I also use this on my 61″ Hustler Super Z (different part #) powered by 30hp Kohler engine and also for my hydraulic pumps and transmissions on my Super Z, and my Hydrogear ZT3100’s on Ferris. WIX filters are the best. WIX makes filters for automotive, commercial equipment, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic transmissions and anything that needs filtering.Why pay more for filters that have catchy names and fancy paint jobs that are built cheap and do little at 2 to 3 times the cost.

Nothing wrong with the filter but the Wix conversation chart said this was a replacement for Kawasaki part number 490650721 buts it’s not.

I’ve watched several Tear-A-Part reviews on WIX filters, they are one of the best on the market. Filter fits my tractor perfectly, size looks identical to OEM.

Wix difficult to tighten (and remove). Top is smooth. No texture to grip by hand. No surface for wrench. Fram equivalent is easier to use but the price nearly doubled this past year.
