I-BAR, side terminals (adapts S3400 batteries to GM vehicles with side terminal) are for group 78 applications. XS Power introduces the first fully integrated, completely modular battery amperage management system. The I-BAR system allows one battery design to be transformed into a perfect fit for a number of applications. The system allows for SAE posts which fit many domestic and import vehicles, standard GM side posts or the combination of both. For marine applications 3/8 inches and 5/16 inches studs can be fitted, or the popular combination SAE posts and 5/16 inches studs. Now for the first time a battery can be configured with (4) SAE top posts in conjunction with GM side posts. This allows standard GM electrical connections that car audio enthusiasts can use to directly distribute power from the battery’s connections. The I-BAR rails feature a unique design that locks them into the battery’s case relieving stress on the cables, and side connections. The I-BAR locking feature is exclusive to XS Power, and not offered with other AGM side terminal designs.

I really liked these adapters but had a few qualms with them.First off, they do the job as expected, and they are a pretty no-brainer hardware to use.The issues I had were that the holes were not the right size for all terminals, so I had to drill them to the correct size. After I did that, I also had to buy different mounting hardware from Home Depot to make it fit correctly.If these are the right size threads that you need, go for it. If they aren’t the exact size, don’t bother getting this. Even though the drilling is easy, the lead is very soft and will require additional hardware anyway.

Needed it for my XS power D3400 to run with my GM side post terminals. I am not happy I had to buy this separately, but it worked as expected and once I read through details on the XS power website and looking at all their products listed on Amazon I knew I was going to need this.Before starting I will say I just bought this Sunday and received it yesterday, Wednesday. That is how quick I am to come right a review.The first thing that came to mind when opening the package is how heavy this was compared to how I thought it would be.I am thankful to have this product. It Does everything I expected it to and is even better quality than I thought it would be, I didn’t realize it came with covers to go over the bolts on the top. That might be because i was not paying attention to what’s included, but I am glad it is there and it looks greatSome of the reviews had me worried that this product would not be as straight forward as I thought it would be, but it tightened down no problem for me and the battery post fit on no problem, and I am still getting 14.4 volts+ constant, so there is no measurable voltage drop in my case.

Must have these terminals for all GM’s 99-2005 if using the XS power D3400 battery. I’m sure its works for newer models. I used all 4 terminals for my application. I also upgraded to a 390 amp JS alternator and did the big 3 upgrade. I have a big system and many accessories and NO POWER ISSUES!!

Got these home, and they were too small to fit my battery. Don’t remember seeing a size on them, but I returned them.

Product was missing top screw covers that are seen in ad picture, not sure where or how to get them this could cause an issue with possibility to arch across battery terminals.
